1. The Acquaintance (~50 lei)
If you’re on a budget or the person you’re buying a gift for isn’t THAT good of a friend, you could buy them a small board game. It’ll show you care enough to know they partake in the hobby, but, ya know…
Squire for Hire
The smallest a game can get. It’s a tile laying game, and can be played solo!
Age of War
A short and sweet dice game! It’s simple, yet quite intense.
You roll dice, then you make up a story on the spot based on the results.
A game that teaches you math through sushi!
A cooperative drafting game about building a magnificent city.
2. The Hobby Bro (~100 lei)
This guy has played a fair share of board games in his time. You’ve even played together quite a few times. One thing’s for sure, he loves board games.
A fast-paced party game set in the wild west. Only one will survive.
A sweet party game with cute art, in which you’re gonna try to gather 7 unicorns, before any of your friends do.
Tiny Epic Tactics
A small game of varying strategy. It can be played with 1-4 players and it includes class-based fighting with an interactive 3D terrain.
A time-based challenge of escaping from a doomed planet.
A game of galactic strategy with dice drafting.
3. The Best of Friends (>100 lei)
For the best for friends, you should get the best of gifts. You know they love you, so you won’t settle for anything less than excellent.
A legacy game set in a haunted house, filled with great horror elements.
A cooperative narrative game centered around time travel.
A wargame set in medieval Europe.
A narrative cooperative fight against eldritch evils!
A eurogame that lets you slowly build your economic setup.
We hope that all these suggestions were helpful, but if you’re still looking for something else, we have one more idea for you:
The Guild Hall Gift Cards
If you’re not sure what board games they already have in their collection, then a gift card is always a good idea. They come in 3 flavours: 50 lei, 100 lei, and 200 lei.
Well, that about does it for the gifts you could get a board game enthusiast. If you still didn’t find something you deem truly worth it, worry not! You can find plenty of other board games up for grabs in our online shop. And the best part? We can deliver them anywhere in Romania, just a few clicks away.
P.S.: If board games are not your cup of tea, don’t worry! We’ll release some gift guides on both wargames and MTG, soon.
